7:00. alarm tells us it's already light outside. we're on the road again. 'a quick stop for lunch and charging phone. no time for sights in small towns - it's a long way to sachara. after 8 hours driving we're in Merzuha - the place we're promissed to find the dessert. here it is - we see the dunes. 'a dosen people on the street trys to stop us and probably suggest a place to sleep. some even chase us with small motoebikes. we don't give up. we're our. no people, so we drive off the road to the dunes. after few minutes of photosession there's a boy on the bicycle, suggesting to 'trade'. ok i suggest trading his found stone to a t-shirt. no - he asks for two. so young and already so enterprener. no, 2 t-shirts is all i've got, so Nerijus gives 20 dirhams for nothing and he cycles away. we drive further. one more vilage. road's finnishes, but we find a post and decide to send our cards. one more Berber outside the car. at first i just want to say we're writing cards and don't need any help, but somehow we start talking. we're interested in driving into desert. he suggests showing former Dakar route to the dunes. he promises it will be possible to make like 30 kilomters with our car. we doubt about braking the car but after long discussion finally we agree. following 'berber gps' we go on gravel, sand stones. meet some trucks bringing stones. Said also works digging and looking for expensive rocks so he knows every truck driver. then there's a jeep. a guy with pistol on his belt starts talking to our guide. no problem, we can go further. that was military - we're close to Algeria's border. in another 'village' we meet some kid. we drive him to the place we're promised to get a sleeping place and shower. on the way we meet his older brother on a bike going to bring some bread. he sits in the car and the kid cycles for bread instead of him. it's already dark. we arrive to a house in the middle of nowhere. it's long and narrow house made of mood surrounded by mood wall fence. they treat us tea and as we say we like sitting at the fire they suggest going to dessert where are some men looking after camels. we agree and while walking in a black-dark dessert remember movie Turistas :). no, everything's ok. we find there men at the fire. they treat us camel milk and just baked under the fire bread with some special souce. they like our chease and chewing gum. we show our pictures from the trip and play some Lithuanian music from a cell phone. but they don't seem to be too interested. unfortunatelly they don't speak english so we have only one interpreter, who calls us japanese when we ask if we can take a picture :)
i don't know how, but we find a way back to house in darkness. it seems to be quite modern. they even have sun cell battery, so there's light. they use economuc bulbs and shows us the only place where mobile connection works. now we're in a tent made of camel wool. tomorrow we are promised to get hot shower and breakfast. of cause for 'a good price' :)
it's 2:49, so goodnight
